Hello, welcome to my website.

I am an artist and illustrator living and working in Nottinghamshire.

My work is inspired by the natural world, primarily birds and mammals but also plants and insects – in fact, by anything I can take home with me in my sketch book.

Field sketches and notes are used to create larger acrylic and oil paintings. These sketches are usually carried out in pencil and water colour. Whilst most are simply reference gathering, others are treated as a record of a particular encounter or experience. These are presented complete with written notes made at the time, in an attempt to gather as much reference material as possible.

I will be taking part in an open studio event on Saturday 24th, Sunday 25th and Monday 26th June between 10.00am – 6.00pm.
